Feng Shui'ing the Day Away
By writergirlliz, Thursday, July 23, 2009I've been into Feng Shui since the day I heard about it. The whole concept was fascinating to me: Arranging your things, adding colors and getting the life you want. And ever since I started using it, I've seen results. For instance, the day after I had a Feng Shui consultant come to my old house and give me some recommendations on my living room, I won a radio contest to a private Goo Goo Dolls show. My favorite band, and I'd never won a radio contest in my life. So, I've always believed it works.
Likewise, I became a fan of The Secret when I saw the movie. I recognized the jist of it as something I'd learned about years before (it just wasn't packaged as nicely) and embraced it. It's hard. Having faith when things are tough is difficult. But I noticed that I'd focus on just one of these concepts at a time. The other day, I had a revelation: I need to do both. I've been neglecting my Feng Shui'ing in lieu of concentrating on gratitude and visualizations. When I realized this, I did a spot check and saw some of my corners were not as clean as they should be, there was a pile of dirty laundry in my prosperity corner, you get the idea.
It's important to put intentions into anything we do. I know this, but I need to remind myself -- and be reminded -- often. I also have to have more faith that what I need will come to me. I don't have to control the hows or the wheres. I just need to believe it will be there. While I do that, I need to vacuum the prosperity corner.
Anyone else Feng Shui? Any cool tips?
