Meaning Behind The Term "Lazy Summer"
By Bad Wife Writes, Tuesday, August 25, 2009I’ve always loved the summer since I was a kid. Now that I’m older, I prefer the fall and spring due to my growing intolerance for extreme weather, but there’s still something about cooking out, hanging by the pool with a nice drink and the smell of fresh cut grass that can never be beat. This summer in NC we’ve lucked out with 100 degrees forgetting about us.
Another thing that has happened as I’ve gotten older is figuring out more of who I want to be and what I want my life to be about. Yep, sometimes it takes 30 or more years to do that. Then once those years have rolled by…it takes lots of dreaming, but it also takes some goals and energy as well. So last year I put a lot of thought and effort behind certain goals and dreams but right around the time the pool filled up with that great chlorinated water, it blurred my vision and drowned out my senses. The only entries that have been made are the chilly ones that start the day off at the pool. No computer and writing, just books and reading.
