About Me
Kids: Have young kid(s)
Political Leaning: Liberal
Name: Ryan Slevin
Occupation: Project Manager, Mom, Aspiring Writer
Education: College
Relationship Status: Married
More about Me: Ryan Slevin is the author of The Woven Moments (www.thewovenmoments.com). On any given day she vacillates wildly; some moments find her rushed and anxious with a vague sense of annoyance while others are filled with awe and gratitude. Usually she’s just trying to keep up with life. And the laundry.
Favorite Music: There isn't a text box large enough to contain my love of music. But here are a few artists currently on my ipod heavy rotation:
Sara Bareilles
Jeff Buckley
Imogen Heap
One Republic
Jason Mraz
Favorite Books and Writers: Recent books I've loved: Cutting for Stone, Little Bee, The Help, The Tennis Partner. You should also know that I love Young Adult literature like the Twilight series. It's ok, you can judge me.
I can't live without: - loud music (read: singing) in my car
- the smell of my daughters' hair after their bath
- the breakfast I've eaten for 10+ years: coffee and toast w/ peanut butter
- my weekly night out
I am most proud of: (I can't say my kids, right? Too easy?) I'm proud of the little life I've built for myself. It's not perfect but it's a comfortable little nest for my particular brand of crazy.
I am most guilty of: over-facebooking. clutter. hitting the snooze button until the very nanosecond when I MUST get out of bed.
Words I live by: Live Mindfully.
The world would be a better place, if only: people stopped asking loaded questions like this one. Kidding. In all seriousness, the only way to make the world a better place is to start with me. I try to be honest and patient and kind. I fail often. I keep trying.
