This Rose Is For You: More thoughts on the Bachelor
By WineNotWhine, Tuesday, February 15, 2011Okay, so I didn’t see Michele going home before Chantal, but I get it. He was probably on the fence between the two, and Michele has a daughter, so it was respectful not to drag her into it if he wasn’t 100%.
Also, props to Brad for realizing that some hot booty was probably as far as he and Michele were going to go.
Now, onto the rest of the girls...
Can Chantal please stop crying? It’s so annoying. I guess she and Brad have a connection, but she and I do not. Every time (and it’s often) she says, “If blah, blah, blah, then send me home,” I want him to say “okay” and send her on her merry way. If she were to be the next Bachelorette, I would not tune in. Okay, maybe I would DVR it, but that’s all. Drama, drama, drama
Emily had the first date, and they really should’ve just let Brad propose on the beach then and there, but that would make for a short show. Did anyone else feel like he was cheating on her by going on other dates after that? Everything after Emily was pretty awkward, with the exception of maybe Shawntel’s date.
Shawntel is a ton of fun, and I think he’s definitely into her, but he doesn’t get nervous around her like he does around Emily. They work, and it’s easy (their word is “natural” ;-)), but I don’t see ferocious sparks. I don’t think Shawntel will be the last girl standing, but I’d like to see her as the Bachelorette.
So, Britt went home on a night no one was supposed to be going home, but it made sense. They didn’t have sexual chemistry. Maybe if he could’ve combined Britt and Michele he would’ve found balance. Either way, Michele’s comment about them not even being friends on Facebook was awesome.
Ashley is cute, and I think Brad got to see a sexier side of her at the photo shoot, but I don’t feel their chemistry. She reminds me of Jillian. I like her, and I respect her, but I don’t want it as badly for her for some reason.
Essentially, this is the Emily and Brad show, and I’m good with that. I hope they live happily ever after and make lots of pretty babies together. I would prefer that Brad never make that sun-moon comment again though.
