Let's talk about the Bachelor. Who do you think Brad will pick?

I love the Bachelor. I won’t even say I love to hate it. I just love it.

Not that anyone really needs my feedback on the show, but I’m in the mood to share my thoughts on it, no one is awake on the east coast yet, and my husband could not care less. So… I’m sharing with my friends on Skirt!

First, I’d like to mention some reasons why being a contestant on the Bachelor might not be for you.

• If you have low self-esteem and are feeling down and constantly rejected, it is not a good idea to go on the Bachelor to try and find love. Your rejection will be on National TV this time, and people will laugh when you cry.
• If you are extremely jealous by nature, this is not the show for you.
• If you are a wallflower, this is not the show for you.
•  If you do not look good in a bikini, this is not the show for you.
• If you think giving up your job as a waitress constitutes “leaving it all behind” to go on your search for love, people are going to laugh at you.
• If you have a profession with a funny name (like, manscaper), people are going to laugh at you.
• If you don’t like your boyfriend to have multiple other girlfriends at the same time, this is not the show for you.
• Also, please don’t say things like, “I’ve been rejected my all my exes, and this was my last ditch effort.” It’s depressing for a minute, and then people laugh at you. This will not help you on future dates.

Now, my thoughts on the contestants: 

Michele: At first I thought she was crazy, but now I love her like I love Isla Fisher’s character in “Wedding Crashers.” Do I think she’s meant for Brad? No. I think she’s meant for the lust side of life, and long-term commitments need to go a lot deeper than that.

Alli: Nice girl, but he’s not that into her. She always has to go after him, and the champagne and dessert thing this week was because he felt guilty. We’ll see what happens after their one-on-one.

Ashley H.: I feel like she’s really smart, and that's attractive, but she's not enjoying herself. Drama queens tend to be phased out unless their brand of crazy is funny. People get tired of having to "fix things" or smooth things over all the time so early on.

Jackie: Aside from being there and being pretty, we haven’t really seen anything from her, but I like her. Maybe she’s playing a great game, or maybe she’s just occupying a spot. I dunno. 

Britt: Cute, and they have had hot kisses, but I haven’t seen him go crazy over her yet.

Chantal: I don’t really dig her, and I don’t think she has much hold on Brad. He wasn't exactly glowing when she said she loved him. 

Emily: You can’t not love Emily. I think the fact that she doesn’t throw herself at Brad keeps him coming back for more. She keeps a bit of mystery, but she’s a sweetheart with southern charm.

Shawntel: I love her! She and Emily are my favorites. I dig that she has an interesting career that she enjoys, and she seems very down to earth.

I think it will come down to Emily, Michelle and Shawntel. From there, I’m still a bit clueless.

On a side note, since we’re in Italy, I don’t get to see the show until at least a day after it originally airs. I try not to read up on the results before I see it. What’s hard is when I have to watch it during the day instead of at night, because it always makes me want to drink wine. I see them drinking and you’d think I was at a social with them. 

I hope this show has a billion more seasons to come. It’s the only reality show I watch! - Oh wait, except for SYTYCD and DWTS. Anyway, it’s the only one I’m watching right now.
