Biography

Marylu Rodriguez is a senior at the University of Houston, majoring in Broadcast Journalism with a minor in English. Expected date of graduation is Spring 09”. She was born and raised in Houston, TX on a horse ranch, and is proud of being a country girl. She comes from a family of four, and has a wonderful nephew and niece. Her roots are in San Luis Potosi, Mexico, where both parents are from. She recently came onboard with Skirt! Magazine as Assistant Editor. Marylu’s dream is to be a journalist, and has been influenced by investigative reporters such as Jorge Ramos from Univision 45. Spare time activities include watching great flicks, shopping, being addicted to her IPOD, spending time with her family and friends, writing poetry, working out, learning graphic design, and helping out in her community.
