Female Foundations - Choose Your Underwear As You Would Your Friends

It’s that time again. Time to go get new underwear. Most of mine is creeping into places it shouldn’t either out of shame and horror or because of such great strain to the elastic, it’s slap-wore-out. Whatever the reason, I gotta do it. I dread it, because while I know exactly what I’ll get: Hanes Her Way 100% cotton hi-cut briefs (granny panties) in basic white, black and nude, I know I’ll have to hunt for them through tons of other types of underthings. This reminds me of yet another way men and women are different: the variety of underthings we require.
Women have a need for a variety of undergarments: slips, panties, shapers, hosiery, and let’s not forget bras – support, enhancing, minimizing, athletic, nursing, strapless, racer back, etc. Many of these garments make us feel better. Many of them actually cause us pain. Mature women are into looking their best, but not at the price of pain. You won’t catch a man binding himself into nylon and spandex (not one you want to be with, anyway).
In department stores, you’ll see at least a square acre devoted to female underthings. You’ll find a total of ONE ROW in the men’s department. In this row you will see boxers and briefs and the new boxer-briefs. You will not see garments to bind a man’s stomach and hips in this row. (Can you imagine a Victor's Secret catalog with pages of underpants printed with things men like - TV remotes, guns, and beef jerky - on them?!) Another thing you won’t see in the men's underwear row is thong underwear. Both men and mature women know wearing thong underwear makes as much sense as protecting your sandwich with a strip of scotch tape instead of a baggie. My hairdresser told me they are even making SANITARY NAPKINS FOR THONG UNDERWEAR! Using this type of feminine “protection” must be like mowing your lawn with fingernail clippers.
Women should look for the same traits in their underwear as they appreciate in their friends: strong, supportive, forgiving and comfortable. We know enough to build these things in the foundations of our relationships as well as having them built into our foundations!
No sirree. No wimpy string of fabric for me. My underwear has a tough job to do, a lot of ground to cover. Yep. My underwear needs to be like my friends: giving me plenty of support without ever being a pain in the ass.
