Why It is Not a Good Idea to Try to Be Funny - Part 2

If you are in need of a chuckle, you've come to the right place. I've another embarassings story for you.
This is actually the second part of a two-part story, so if you missed it, please read, Part 1 – Why I Shouldn’t Try to Be Funny Or Cool first.
Picking up where we left off...
So, the next day, I woke up with a sore throat. A short while later, I was in my car and saw a drugstore. In I went in search of some numbing throat spray (and if I am being honest, a HUGE bag of Twizzlers). $9 later I got in my car and started driving. I was at a stoplight and my throat hurt so badly that I decide I better bust into the cherry-flavored numbing throat spray.
Since I was waiting for the light to turn green, naturally, I was watching the road. But, I’m cool enough to spray some of this in my mouth at close range without looking in the mirror, right? Not so much.
The spout was turned to the side and I actually sprayed red liquid on my cheek, the shoulder of my new Mr. Roger’s sweater and the car window. I looked at the window in stunned disbelief as the chorus from Peter Gabriel’s Red Rain came from no where. Then the neurons in my brain fired and I went looking for a Kleenex. The sweater isn’t too bad and the window cleaned right up, but after that I had a red spot on my cheek from the spray. Pretty.
In summary, special like this doesn’t come along every day, People. It’s a good thing I can laugh (and write) about it, or I would probably be really depressed. Have you laughed at yourself lately?
