Why Did Weiner Do It?

      Representative Andrew Weiner has now admitted that he sent a lewd picture of himself via a social network to a young woman.  He had been claiming his Twitter account was hacked.  But he finally admitted that it was he who "tweeted" his crotch shot to a young woman who was a follower.  Apparently a majority of his followers are young women.  He was asked about that and claimed he was not all that familiar with how this whole social network thing works and if someone asks him to "follow" them, then he follows them and they follow him.  But apparently he is familiar enough with this social media to tweet his photo of his weiner in his underwear. 

    My question is why he would do this in the first place.  What possesses a man in his forties to take a picture of his crotch and then post it via a social network?  What was he thinking when he was taking the picture?  Was he thinking, hey I will turn on my female followers with my impressive weiner?  Was he thinking that the woman he tweeted would be so in awe of his male anatomy that she would want to meet him?  He claims that he has never cheated on his wife.  Yes, he is married.  But he is still tweeting to a bunch of young women.  He says he has never had any physical contact with any of the women he has communicated with via Twitter.  But if he lied about posting his own picture can we believe him when he says he never had any contact with these women or that he never cheated on his wife?  

   I just don't understand the need for this guy to post his privates.  I don't understand the thinking of people who feel the need to do this.  I don't get it.  Really, can someone explain it to me?  Is he just so full of himself?  Is he searching for reassurance from someone?  Is he seeking attention?  He certainly has plenty of that now.  And did he really think he could get away with lying about it?  Did he not think that someone would find out the truth?  Has he not watched enough Law and Order and CSI episodes to realize that investigators always learn the truth about these things?  Are all politicians this stupid? Watching some of the candidates or some of the people who may become candidates, I guess the answer to that question is yes.  But don't get me started on that.  Let's just ponder why our politicians are spending time taking photos of their private parts and tweeting with young women instead of finding solutions to the unemployment problem, rising gas prices, the bad state of health care, figuring out how to sustain our social security program, improving the education of our children, balancing the budget, the list goes on and on and on.
