My Best Friend is a Food Product

That said, when I started down my health path MANY years ago (I was a fatas* BC I had too much fun in college) I researched and tried everything in the frozen (so I could zap and eat fast) healthy foods section at Whole Foods Market in search for a delicious HEALTHY food option that...A.) I would look fwd. to when ever and...B) I would never feel guilty about eating even if I over ate it ;-)
Soon enough, an orange and white box with a picture of what looked like fried chicken patties on it literally jumped into my hands! THANK YOU dear Lord for this box of yumminess!!!!
Quorn Brand Chik-N-Patties have become my dear friend. I truly wake up and go straight to the freezer to check on "Quorny" and his friends "nuggets!" I plan at that moment when I will eat one and how I will prepare it. Mmmmmm, I am craving one NOW!
I am pretty obsessed with food. I think about it all day and strategically plan what I will be eating way ahead of time and Quorn is always on my list for any meal or snack. Sometimes even twice a day.The entire Quorn line is delicious. This product is NOT meat or soy based so if you are curious about what EXACTLY are the ingredients read the back of the label. Even then when you read the word "micoprotein" you may be a bit confused so simply TRUST ME ;-)
You keep them in the freezer so thaw/zap them a bit and then plop one in your toaster just like a piece of toast. I rec. you double toast bc the best part is the CRUNCHY outer layer.
You can add any of the following on top to make them even more healthy and tasty:
~ hummus
~ mustard
~ fresh grated parmesan (or any lite cheese)
~ avocado spread
~ lemon juice
I make sandwiches with the patties, melt cheese on the nuggets for my kids and also top a salad with the goatcheese and cranberry Quorn pattie. I don't get paid for talking about this (sure wish i did) or any free products. It's just me loving something SO MUCH (children and tequila first;-) that I have to share it with YOU.
