Accepting Setbacks and Cheating on Your Health Plan is ESSENTIAL!

Y'all, it took me a long time to ACCEPT that I was not going to EVER be perfect on my path to losing weight and feeling great. Every time I indulged in my favorite treats I felt guilty and like a failure, and set myself back weeks on end in this crazy mindset. The mindset was that I had to always eat and drink according to the "book" whatever that book or diet plan might have been at the time.

One day I decided, "screw it, I like margaritas and Mexican food and I will never give it up. So then I was like, "what do I do now?" And I got the answer.  I simply got back on track immediately and allowed that I was not going to be perfect. But that I could still enjoy treats and then work a bit harder the next day to compensate for my planned cheats! AND IT WORKED, WOOHOOOOOOOOOOO!!!

I can NOT preach enough that being successful in reaching your health goals means accepting that you are not PERFECT nor are you EXPECTED to be...THANK GOODNESS!!!

When a person is aware that it is NORMAL to deviate from their health plan at times, such as missing some scheduled exercise sessions or giving up on the program due to lapses in the margarita ;-) it can help PREVENT TOO MANY RELAPSES without getting back on track first!

Instead of expecting perfection all the time give yourself a break, plan your "cheats" and simply get back on your health plan afterwards!!! This will make you and your health goals achievable and more fun!

YEEHAW to being healthy and indulging at times, in our favorite treats!
