3 Days to Re-Motivating YOU Back on the Health Track
By tequilakatrina, Monday, August 16, 2010, 1 commentsY'all, what does it take to really re-motivate you back to making healthy choices?
I have found that after a few days of eating too much junk food, drinking too much booze, and not exercising that it is really difficult to wake up and start back down my usual path of making my healthiest choices. What works in the grand scheme of life is my 80-20 RULE. 80% of the time I make my best choices and the other 20% of the time I do/eat/drink what ever makes me happy. This % leads me towards Mexican food and tequila ;-)
Now, if I have over indulged on trips and long weekends that these summers tend to generally offer, I run into this problem of re-motivating myself to get my as* back on track. I have a few tips for you, my Skirt readers, that may work to get you back on your health plan, faster. Do this for 3 days and you will be more inclined to stay on your healthy journey because the de-bloat results happen almost immediately:
- have a healthy and balanced breakfast first thing in the am
- cardio exercise in the am
- eat a protein loaded salad for lunch
- eat a grapefruit every day
- drink a ton of water
- take your Omega fish oil supplements
- walk after dinner for 20 minutes
- eat minimal carbohydrates (carbs are essential but for the quick de-bloat, this will get you there faster ;-)
- no booze (I am sorry)
- get a good nite's sleep
- and repeat
I started the above today. I feel that Monday's give us another chance to make healthy choices and stick with them the rest of the week. Don't y'all feel the same way? GOODLUCK!!!
