Dusted & Disgusted in Atlanta

Am I the ONLY person in Atlanta, or anywhere else for that matter, who thinks that ‘The Real Housewives of Atlanta’ is the worst possible stereotypical representation of the many beautiful, sensible, business minded women who reside here?! I mean REALLY!?!

I know many people who watch the show religiously, marathon re-runs included. It’s like a bad train wreck on the side of the road... as stomach churning it may be you can’t help but notice the glaring disaster plastered all across your field of vision --guts, gore, and the fragments of the deceased, all on display for the world to see. Instead of body parts we get to see the victims of greed, scandal, and indecency slaughter, slay, and betray each other all over the TV screen. They are so pompous and full of pride, yet so shallow and fake. Not only do they lack dignity, they have no real sense of community or loyalty to one another whatsoever.

Its like Bravo just threw a bunch of ‘uncool’ broads with absolutely no couth together and said lets have a show about how to make an ass out of yourselves to show America how young money can and will act a fool as soon as they get in the spotlight. This, in my opinion is worse than “Flava of Love’.

I do not apologize if anyone is offended. And I don’t give a damn who you may run and tell that I said it!  Someone should be apologizing to ME for disrespecting and misrepresenting my sisters this way.

Will the REAL hard-working, intelligent, progressive women who represent ATL, please stand up?!

Unfortunately...

Unfortunately real, hardworking, got it going on women does not seem to be what viewers want, it seems we live in a world obsessed with beauty (sic), materialism and weird behavior...but hang in there, this too shall pass! Blessings! angel www.angeliavmenchan.com

Yeah, it's really quite

Yeah, it's really quite baffling. In fact, I'm surprised The Soup hasn't made fun of it yet (or have they?) I can't stand the white chick. What's her name? Kim? There was this one scene where she and Sheree were out at a restaurant, and she asks Sheree, "Aren't you glad to be beautiful? I mean, can you imagine how difficult life would be if you weren't pretty?" Half of those women MARRIED into their riches, yet they claim that other women are "jealous of their success." What? I'm with you girl, that show is not very representative of real women.

No, stay seated.

Sadly the REAL Housewives of Atlanta are not nearly as exciting. Instead of lunching in Buckhead while the nanny picks up the kids, we're in Kroger spending half of what will be spent on that Buckhead lunch, worrying that we'll have to cut back on something else, and rushing to try to make it home in time to meet the bus.

And now, I fear, we actual wives and mothers of Atlanta will spend the next 10 years fending off the comment "Did you SEE that Housewives of Atlanta show? You're not really like that, are you?!"

No, no we're not.

Standing Ovation!!!

I hate that show. I watched it exactly twice. It's a HORRIBLE representation of Atlanta. It's demented. Those women are disgusting and no matter how much money gets dumped down their gullet, it's not going to buy them one iota of class. I see that show and think "Jerry Springer. . .with more expensive clothes." Notice, I said "more expensive" clothes; not "better" clothes. Tacky, tacky, tacky!
