My Best Dressed of the Golden Globes List!
By Southern Femme, Tuesday, January 26, 2010AHHH Award Season has begun!!! The time of year when my friends & I can gather & openly judge other people's clothes & not feel like total bitches, I love it. And I know y'all do the same thing...I mean who didn't have some snide remark when Bjork wore her swan gown a few years ago?! But at the same time who doesn't still ohhh & ahhh over the beauty ofMarion Cotillard in her shimmering scale like dress?! The Golden Globes are actually my favorite awards show because they combine the best TV & movie actors & actresses, thus more dresses & suits to fawn over!
After very careful inspection during the E! Preshow, the awards show itself & an even closer look on style.com &wwd.com, I now have my Southern Femme Best Dressed List of the 2010 Golden Globes! Let me know y'all's thoughts as well, always makes for entertaining discussions!
BEST DRESSED:
My first 2 best dressed females are sporting an important trend for both now & this spring...METALLICS! I personally adore anything & everything that sparkles & shimmers, especially when it's on Anna Paquin who stars in my favorite show, True Blood!
Anna Paquin in Stella McCartney
Toni Collette in Elie Saab..She won for United States of Tara, another amazing show!
My next 4 best dressed women were all decked out in the classic shade of black but each with a unique twist from sequins to lace to ruffles...all important trends to adorn yourself in this spring!
Julianna Margulies in Narciso Rodriguez
Kate Winslet in Yves Saint Laurent
January Jones in Lanvin
Penelope Cruz in Armani Prive
The next 3 women to make my list are actually 3 of my style icons. They always push the limit while remaining true to their unique style & to the trends. They courageously embraced the origami, ruffle & asymmetric neckline trends...and succeeded!
Chloe Sevigny in Valentino...how I covet her closet!
Kate Hudson in a Marchesa gown & Casadei platform heels
Maggie Gyllenhaal in RM by Roland Mouret
My last 2 women on the count down are perfection in gorgeous jewel tone dresses. And again it is all about the details ranging from asymmetric necklines, origami, lace & goddess draping.
The always stylish Ashley Olsen in Erdem
One of my favorite French women, Marion Cotillard in Christian Dior
NOW IT'S Y'ALL'S TURN...THOUGHTS ON THE BEST DRESSED OF THE GOLDEN GLOBES??
