Don't make fun.
It felt right at the time.
A couple of glasses of Chardonnay after a really good workout last Saturday evening. And well, it just happened. I was feeling relaxed. I was feeling confident. I looked in the mirror, twisted them just like the stylist does...and snipped. And then I realized, er, I cut them a little short.
I didn't leave much room for error.
Yes. I cut my bangs when I was drunk. Now for the big reveal...
Sure, they're a bit uneven. Sure, they don't look amazing. Maybe they aren't exactly "fly." Just deal. I'm the one that has to live with them.
After I cut them that evening, I showed up at my father in law's birthday party where my husband and my new family proceeded to laugh and point out how uneven they are. (Thanks guys.)
Oh well! Such is life.
Here's what I learned: Sometimes you make mistakes. But just like life, things will take care of themselves.
They'll grow out.
What I'm wondering is...Has anyone else ever given themselves their own hair cut? I wonder if it matters what you drink and what kind of haircut you get?
Like, for instance, drink Franzia. Get a mullet?
Drink a wine cooler. Come out with a feathered do?
Drink Sam Adams. Get a high and tight?

I love drunk bangs!
Looking good! I am always cutting my bangs when I feel invincibly drunk. You escaped relatively unscathed. Just wait before you go to your stylist - they will totally scold you!

Personally I think they look fantastic...the last time I attempted to cut my bangs was when I was six..oh the horror...thank god no pictures exist..

You are hysterical! I was having one of those tormented nights- "who am I? what do I want to do when I grow up?" I think I was 37. So I did the logical thing - went to "howto.com", watched the easy to follow video, and chop chop! At least my stylist said it wasn't beyond repair :) Jodene

I have a big forehead
I was at a trunk show in November and I kept staring at myself in the mirror. The lights in the store were so bright, my forehead looked really big and shiny. When I got home, I cut my hair, so I would have a bang. This way, it would cover my huge forehead. Bottom line, my bangs looked stupid, so now I part my hair on the side and comb the bang over. My forehead is still big and shiny. I think switching moisturizers would have been a better solution.

I remember being a trial
I remember being a trial for my cousing who was attending beauty school. Wow were those bangs short.
wish I'd been there.........
there for the drinking - reminds me of when I cut the girls' bangs - and, of course, I did cut my hair when I was in 7th grade - it drove me nutts & I decided to do a chop off the top - talk about mother hysteria............like it would never grow back.
