Cleanse comes to a close!
By skirtySteph, Wednesday, March 24, 2010, 3 commentsOk, ladies. Ever since I wrote my Cleanse the Ol' Pipes Blog last week I've been getting questions. Questions from my friends, questions from co-workers, questions from my husband's old classmate's little sister (not even kidding on that one.)
Does it really work?
Which one did you do?
Is it a scam?
Should I do it?
And the answers are Yes. Isagenix. No. And Yes, if you want to.
In just 9 days I feel more clear headed than ever (haven't had a drop of caffeine or alcohol), the skin on my face looks amazing and I have lost my muffin top.
I lost 8 lbs in 9 days and my jeans fit again. And that's what I was looking for out of this whole thing. I couldn't bare to face summer the way I was headed. When I turned 32 ten days ago, I decided I was going to get healthy. And if that meant stripping all the caffeine, alcohol, and fast food out of my system, that's what I was doing.
Shockingly, even on the days where I just drank the cleanse (there were 4 of them btw) and had no solid food (their vanilla-flavored "snack tablets" don't really count) I felt satiated and never had a stomach growl. Not one. I was kind of shocked at that one. Me, without a stomach growl? Who would've thought...
My sweet Hollywood-thin, L.A.-based actress of a sister—who is no stranger to this cleanse—called me every day to see how I was doing. I just kept raving. I couldn't believe she was right this whole time. I don't think she could believe how much I was enjoying it. I even went out to dinner twice during it (once with friends, and once on a double date) and abstained from alcohol or anything off the organic dietary list they gave me. I had sashimi one night and a grilled chicken salad the other. Both very tasty.
The only thing that sucked were the headaches on the first 2 days. Every time I drank the cleanse stuff, my head would start pounding afterwards. My sister said it was from it sucking all the caffeine and bad things out of my system. (Not very scientific, but it sounded good.)
Just so we're clear, this is not a sales pitch for this particular product, I know there are lots of cleanses out there. Ask around and find one you like. I just needed to jump start a number on the scale going in the opposite direction than it was going and this is the one I trusted from my sister.
Will all the weight come back immediately? It's not supposed to. I imagine if I get hammered on tall glasses of Guiness for the next week and indulge in Five Guys and Chinese food, it may make it hard to maintain. But I just feel so clean and good, that I don't want to gunk myself back up. So I'm going to head to Whole Foods and get myself some yummy organic foods. I'm going to stick with doing the cleanse day part of it maybe twice a month to keep up with it. And the vanilla shakes (made with crazy stuff like root bark and whey from New Zealand) are actually really tasty. So I'll substitute them for a meal here and there.
And I'll check back in and tell you what happens as I move forward.

Stephanie, your blog was sooo informative!
Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for your comment on my blog. The reality show is still in its infancy stage.
The production company is still working out the kinks. As I know more, I'll share it
with my skirt.com family.
Have a great day!

So...where and HOW can you get this stuff?
Is it only through reps or can you find it at some store or order it online?
You can order it online at
You can order it online at www.cleansemyself.com. Or google Isagenix and a bunch of places will show up. I don't think you can buy it at GNC or anything like that.
