Where We Are...

Hi all! Due to some unforeseen scheduling issues, we are going to move the expected “through chapter 3” reading discussion to Saturday, June 14th. I would really appreciate it, in the early stages of the skirt! book club, if you guys would comment on the site just to let me know that we are all together. A simple “yep” will suffice, of feel free to elaborate. I hope you guys are beginning to get into the story. I was prompted to read this after researching the life of Lucy Grealy online. I think you might be even more impacted by this book if you take a minute (’cause we all have nothing to do, I know) to familarize yourself with this story.

Where We Are...

I have to confess...I lost

I have to confess...I lost mine. I was reading it on Thursday night, and then sometime around 1 a.m. I jolted awake with the book on my lap and some weird crap on the tv. I remember thinking, "I better take this to work with me so I can catch up on my reading over lunch," and then it goes black and fuzzy after that. When I finally did have some time to read I couldn't remember what I'd done with the book! I have looked for that book everywhere for the past few days--car, desk, the war zone that is my kitchen table--and finally today I found it...in my bedside table. Go figure--the one place I hadn't looked. Durrrr. What's my point? I'm REALLY glad for the extension!
