My pride and joy: are my family and businesses. I get personal satisfaction from knowing that I have made a positive impact on others’ lives.

Funniest thing ever: when my little Japanese Mother-in-Law, Kay, imitated the walk of a penguin after watching the movie, “The March of the Penguins.” If I had a better video clip of it I think it could have gone viral on YouTube.

I cannot live without: my laptop – I can’t imagine a day without the internet.

 My passion right now: Playing ice hockey.

My work: I am the Marketing & Community Relations Director for the Carrollwood Cultural Center in Tampa, FL. Basically, I get to work in a very creative environment with wonderful people and tell people about all of the cool and exciting things we have going on at the Center.

Kate Atwood is the founder of Kate’s Club, an atlanta-based non-profit organization that supports children and teens facing life after the death of a parent or sibling. She started the organization as the result of the personal loss of her own mother when she was just 12. She is also the Creator of Living by Giving, a media and communications initiative through which Kate inspires and educates individuals on creative ways to give back that best fit one’s own life.
