Sarah Sherman – Paranormal Investigator
By sLogan, Monday, March 1, 2010While most women might run from ghosts, Sarah runs toward them, coaxing them from the woodwork with other members of her (mostly female) paranormal investigation team. “When we meet other groups it’s more common for men to be involved,” she says. Sarah became interested in the paranormal when, as a child, she was visited by the spirit of her grandfather. Two years ago she and another ghost hunter, Tonya Denning, started the Winston-Salem Paranormal Society. For Sarah, it’s about wanting to know what’s out there. “The more experiences I have, the more questions I have. I’d say that I could get that one perfect piece of evidence and I’d be happy, but I’d just want more.” As for the spirits, she feels most just want to move on. “I think it’s confusion, not knowing how. Then again, some are stubborn and don’t want to move on. When they’re a ghost they still have the attitude they had in life, they’re still the same person.”
