It may not have been love at first sight, but for Robert and Ana it was pretty darn close. They met at the Black Gold Jubilee in Bell Glade, FL. Ana was dressed as the Salad Queen; Robert was her bodyguard. One week later, Robert made the four hour trip to Ana’s home in Orlando to bring her two fresh bushels of corn. They’ve been married for 27 years.

Robert: “What can I say? She was just outrageous.”

Ana: “I think what attracted us was that we were both people that wanted to be more. It became a life of surprises for us both.”
