The right friends
By shelomita, Monday, August 2, 2010First of all I have to thank to blackberry because thanks to its messanger facility I can meet up my old friends from junior high to university. According to that we have a messanger group.
The group of my senior high fellows has been amazing. It really provides a room for everybody to catch up. It always starts with: which class were you, send your picture please, then the conversation continues as if we have been friends all this time. The fact is that some people were actually never met back then in high school time but talk so friendly in the group as if they were old friends.
I know most of the group member and they know me too although two or three member were actually never had a friendship connection with me in high school. But like I said the group has made every one started talking to another one when they have never talked to each other in high school time.
the other day one friend got married. He was almost everybody's friend in the group. So we decided to attend his wedding and get together. These people that made appointment to attend the wedding, most of them were not my closest friends in the school's day. Some of them even would be talking to me for the first time in that party.
I was not nervous. We had been very opened and familiar in the messanger group, to finally talk face to face would have been better.
At the wedding we did get together. Their face has transformed into more mature...more adult. I talk to them without any doubt or any awkward feeling. We may not a friend back then in high school, we may not in the same class or same gank back then but here we were, graduated, matured, there was no reason to not saying hi.
So there were almost 10 of us. We made a circle, gathering and catching up. Talking about anything, our routine and so on.
Then I saw this girl. She was not in the same class with me, not in the same gank and it was obvious that our social high school life was far too distance. She did not even come to our group to say hi, not even look at us. And I got a little bit irritated for that. Not because she did not say hi to me or to us, but really the social highschool gap has ended. We were all mature. Leave that attitude behind girl...!
