Sickness, friends and Harry Potter pancakes
By Severine, Sunday, February 14, 2010, 2 commentsThis week-end is running tepid.
Well, I mean we had a very nice brunch with friends yesterday, turns out our toddlers' best friend's parents are quite cool.
But Toddler brought a cold back from daycare. He's fine, solid as a rock. I'm turning into a sinusitis, and daughter (4 months old, already been on antibiotics twice in her short life) has a suspicious runny nose.
Then last night she threw up in her sleep. And I mean threw up. Not the kind that we call regurgitation, the kind that you find more fluid in the bed than baby! Still the poor thing kept on sleeping.
And luckily it's my second kid, so since she felt fine enough to sleep through it, I cleaned her up and put her in our bed so I could monitor without having to get up. With my first I would have been at the ER.
Husband HAD to get up after all the commotion, luckily he has Harry Potter to put him back to sleep, and that eternal "flip the body like a pancake, away from child and wife so as to sleep tight" thing. It's nice. I slept on and off, checking her at every movement. She's fine, I should have flipped like a pancake...
