We all have the utmost respect for those who serve in our armed forces and for those who serve overseas in harm’s way. Now in addition to Veterans Day this month, we also have another unique opportunity to support our troops. When our service personnel return home from one war, they usually must begin another. Unemployment for veterans is at an all time high, and twenty percent of returning vets have symptoms of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, which raises the risk of domestic abuse. A new study says violence is also more common among kids of combat veterans.

We are fighting cancer a different way: CATCHING IT EARLY.  By shifting this nation’s focus from just searching for a cure to education, prevention and early detection, we can save lives TODAY.  By empowering ourselves and the women we love to become medical consumers; to listen to our bodies, ask the right questions of our doctors and seek second opinions, we can prevent cancer and, if we still end up with it, detect cancer in its earliest stages.  At Cancer Schmancer, we aren’t reinventing the wheel.  We are

PlateWire believes that rage and courtesy go hand in hand. If you as a driver are treated rudely by someone, you are more likely to take that frustration out on someone else, especially if you are already experiencing stress, an almost daily fact for many of us. So their basic principle is simple, if they can help people to be more aware of their unsafe habits, become self-accountable for their actions, and then they have made a difference. Log onto their web site where you can report or commend a driver you have encountered.
