About Me
More about Me: I was born and raised in Flint, Michigan and grew up in Atlanta, Georgia. I am married to my mom's best friend's son who I fell hard for when I was 15, got serious about a week before my 21st birthday, and was engaged to on my 21st birthday. We moved to Atlanta after a particularly awful winter (maybe it wasn't that awful, it was just the last straw) with nothing but a map and a moving truck just after the 1996 Olympics left town. 4 years later I realized I had roots here; a mortgage, a child, hospital records, a pediatrician. Now I am dedicated to making my roots deeper and stronger and as I do that, I pass along my wisdom, adorations, and the things that just piss me off.
Favorite Music: pretty much anything outside of country depending on my mood. Dance/Pop for my attitude mood, acoustic/folky type stuff for chillaxin', and 80's for pure nostalgia!
Favorite Books and Writers: Pillars of the Earth is *the* book and Shel Silverstein is *the* writer.
I can't live without: the internet!
I am most proud of: my life. I never imagined being a home maker would be so fulfilling, but in making my home the center of my universe, I am able to provide a tranquil place people can trust to be there when they need a place to escape the otherwise unpredictable and crazy world.
I am most guilty of: giving my trust (waaaaaaaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyyy) too freely.
Words I live by: if you aren't willing to help with the solution, don't bitch about the problem.
The world would be a better place, if only: common sense were common.
