I read this book quite some time ago and I must say that it is such a touching story that I hold it as one of my favorite books. I shed a few tears while reading it

Set in rural Mississippi, the book tells the story of a young black boy by the name of Billy who through a tragic turn of events kills a white girl and is convicted of murder. The book tells the heart wrenching story of the old south and the racism that resonated throughout it....Great read...but you’d better have your hankie ready.
