Have You Ever Just Had One of Those Days?

Have you ever just had one of those days?  Gawd, (that's said in a southern annoyed twang) for 'God, it's been one of those days!'

I woke up this morning with this overwhelming feeling, in fact I'll call it an inspiration to write.  So this morning I sat down with my new lap top (Toshiba) to begin to write my blog for Skirt Magazine.  Mind you Mercury is s-t-i-l-l in retrograde!  That's important to remember, and I will tell you why later.

So there I was 5 o'clock in the morning!  The moon was still high in the sky and full, illuminating the early day.  I'm writing away in long hand when I began to reason that maybe I should be creating this great blog on the computer so that I don't have to go back and try to transcribe my hieroglyphic chicken scratch later in the day.

So I pulled out this new lap top, plopped it down, and then realized that I still have yet to download my brand new purchase of Windows Office 2007 Professional on the lap top.  "Ok" I'm thinking "I'll just install this great software and I'll be on my way."  Well.... that didn't happen that way.

"Warning! Error Code 25004 Config.xml...." comes blaring across the computer screen.  There seems to be error as I tried to install this software.  It's now 7am.  I'm getting sleepy - so I figured I would get some shut eye, rest up a bit and start again later in the day.

But then, I remember oh yeah I have a check up at the Doctor's at 10am, but I have no car.  "Great" I say with the most monotonic deadpan voice.  My husband who works with me practically 24 hours a day/ 7 days a week as taken our only car on this day to Greenville, S.C. two hours away.  Leaving with no mode of transportation.  But by the grace of god, one of the nurses at the Doctor's office was kind enough to give me a lift since I only a few minutes away.  "Whew" I thought "I dodged the 'cabbie tab' with that one!"

I get back home from the doctor's and it's now 2pm. Am I still feeling inspired to write my blog for skirt magazine?  "You betcha, I am!"  But wait, there's no word processor on my new lap top!

Back to the drawing board.  I prop myself on the sofa in the living room with an ice pack on my left shoulder, my new lap top on my lap, and I go to insert the Microsoft Office 2007 install disc again.  And what do I see?  "Warning! Error Code 25004. Config.xml not specified. A valid config.xml file must be authored when deploying '(null)'.  "What the heck? $%#!@X!" That's polite code for profanity, if you didn't know that by now.  But alas I'm still inspired to get my blog across.  Yet I'm determined to solve this mystery.

Therefore I go on line and reach out to the inter net world for answers as to why I'm getting an error code.  Google provides me with a plethora of sites all with unique ways to solve this mystery.  Each one I try, and each one fails.

"Think, Think, Think" I reason to myself.  Perhaps another software program is available for my new Windows 7 Professional Operating System? :Ah ha!"  I find Open Office and think my problems are solved.  It's no 4pm, and I'm still trying to download a word processor, a simple word processor onto my system!  I download the software, install it onto my lap top and then, and then.... "Big Red X!....Can not install software while another installation is taking place!"  "What other installation is taking place?"  I know begin to talk to the lap top as though the thing can answer me back.

The frustration is mounting.  I feel the effects of Mercury in Retrograde taking place!  I have another idea... (yes I am a determined problem solver).  I reason, "perhaps the operating system is clashing with the old office 2007."  So I download Microsoft Office 2010's trial version.  "There, that will do the trick" thinking I had it solved.  "Now I will write my blog"  I reason excitedly, feeling like I had just worked all day in the garden, and now I'm getting to lay down into a comfortable hammock with a cool glass of lemonade - when all the sudden....wait, wait..wait... BOOM!  The hammock comes crashing down!

"Warning! Windows Office 2010 could not download.  If this problem continues please contact Microsoft Product Support."  "Oh, no the dreaded Microsoft Support call that I had been trying to avoid all day" I sigh to myself.

Picking up the phone, keep in mind it is now 5:30pm.  Thank god they work on Pacific Time.  I call and I get a man named Brian (yeah right - I think to myself - as I hear an Indian dialect on the other end of the line) "Hello Brian"  I say.  I begin to give him my litany of experiences all through the day. And of course he was apologetic on behalf of the mighty Microsoft Company.  He then tells me that he can't issue me a ticket until I speak to one of the techs pertaining to Office 2007.  And then what happens?

Yes, Mercury in Retrograde strikes again!

I am forwarded to yet another number only to find out that Microsoft's Computers are down....(ARGH!) and that he's unable to issue me a ticket, much less help me out on the original problem I called about!

Somebody up there really wants me to take a day off!  I hang up the phone, take another deep breath.  Look to the sky and ask "now what?  All I wanted was a simple on line typewriter so that I could create this great new blog story."  And what did I hear in my psychic mind "Why didn't you tell me so? LOL"  I then get the urge to type in  "online type writer"  and I found this great new spot.  No fancy bells and whistles, no product code keys as long as the alphabet.  Just a simple online typewriter.

So without further ado I will now start my blog and share it with you in a few days.  It's now 10pm!  *Grrrrrrrr~!

How has Mercury in Retrograde affected you this time around?

Thanks for reading!  If you can relate or if you have answer to my Microsoft Mystery please comment.  I need your valide expertise!

Sincerely,

Psychic/Medium
