Cheap Chic!

 

That's so "in" these days.  We are changing as a nation.  You can see it with just about everybody you come in contact with, it's in our media, it's the topic of conversation and even our libraries are catering to the topic of saving money or keeping it cheap.  

 

Years ago, even as a child when I didn't have to worry about bills, mortgage payments and the like I would love grocery shopping, using all the good coupons, and even writing to the manufacturers of products, just so that I could score a "freebie" coupon.  That was a hobby back then.  Now it's a necessity 

 

 

There was an article on Yahoo.com that reported that one man made $400 a year extra just by picking up used vacuum cleaners and selling them on Craigslist.  Even parents are making their kids pay for meals on vacation.  Wow, have times changed! 

 

A sensitive person could feel the wave of change coming in years gone by, and what I am sensing ahead for the future is a tighter community of people as the entire world connects at the unconditional love and heart level.  

 

I said it years ago and it's happening now.  In order to change the world it is ultimately us that must change.  To grow and manifest love in others we must start with ourselves.  We must love, cherish & nurture ourselves in order to show others the process, and we must love, cherish and nurture ourselves so that we can recognize when it is happening to us from another.  

 

This is high self esteem I am talking about, not narcissism. High Self-Esteem is high quality of love for oneself.  When you are at that state of pure love, our natural tendency is to share this great feeling with another.  We are a society of togetherness, not isolation.   Narcissism comes from a mindset of lack, as in poor.  Narcissism is low self esteem being masked as high self esteem, but it's base is still fear. 

 

Being "Cheap Chic" is not originating from being poor or from a sense of lack.  It's a coping mechanism within changing times.  It's an expression of "love" that we make ourselves happy and that we can share with others.  For some it's become a passion, (ok... an obsession ie: TLC's Extreme Couponing) and when we take our passions to a higher level and share our passions with the world we then become compassionate.

 

We need each other within these changing times.  What are good at?  What do you love?  What do you have passion for?  How can you share those passions with others?  How can you create compassion?  

 

 

Today is a new day.  Yesterday ended last night, today is actuality and tomorrow becomes the reality that you make it.  Remember the best answers come from the questions you ask.
