A friend sent me this info and I have to pass it on to anyone who feels that the government, the neighbor down the block, or a saleslady at your favorite shop does not have the right to tell a woman what or what she cannot do to her body. And I don’t even like that term – “do to her body.” How about I am against anyone coming in a telling a woman who has become pregnant what she can or cannot do to make the situation work the best for her and her family (if she has one).
I have lived a long time and I have never read, met or heard any woman ever say, “I was going to get my nails done, but the abortion clinic just opened and I changed my mind. I think I’ll have one instead of getting frosted pink whispers on my toes.” Nothing even close to, “George and I were going to go to Europe, but we decided to spend that money on an abortion for my daughter. She has always wanted one and we just can’t say no to her.”
I do know women who had had abortions for a number of reasons and each one suffered emotionally, mentally and spiritually just trying to get to the decision to terminate the pregnancy.
I cannot wrap my brain around someone who would deny a young girl or woman an abortion in the case of incset and rape. Unless you have walked in their shoes, I don’t think anyone has the right to make a decision except for the victim.
Sarah Palin is aganist young girls or women having the right to an abortion in cases of rape or incest.
Here is a way to let Sarah Palin know how you feel about her wanting to take away the right to choose from women:
Make a donation to Planned Parenthood. In Sarah
Palin's name. And here's the good part: when you make a donation to PP in her
name, they'll send her a card telling her that the donation has been made in
her honor. Here's the link to the Planned Parenthood website:
https://secure.ga0.org/02/pp10000_inhonor
You'll need to fill in the address to let PP know where to send the "in
Sarah Palin's honor" card. I suggest you use the address for the McCain
campaign headquarters, which is:
McCain for President
A1235 S. Clark Street
1st Floor
Arlington , VA 22202
PS make sure you use that link above or choose the pulldown of Donate--Honorary
or Memorial Donations, not the regular "Donate Online"
If enough women do this, I know we won’t change her mind,
but we will put her on notice that we will fight to her stop from denying women “ their rights” to be able to
chose what is best for their lives.
