I need an interior decorator.

Hi! I just posted after you and saw this. I am an interior designer, by trade, and don't know how I got here with all you writers! One suggestion is to colorblock the walls or a feature wall at the heights corresponding to anything architectural. Usually, this would be the top of a door frame or bottom of window trim. Just paint a band, any accent color. Can be strong or low- contrast. The other way to decorate, is to use agallery effect. That mentions layering artwork or objects  on top of each other, in order to cover more space. Or you can get some really large pieces... traditional sizes of art can lloklost, as I am sure you know, on walls taht are that high. Hope this helps.

Thanks for your suggestions! I like the color band idea...I was toying with the idea of just painting the doorframe and bottom molding around the floor...I'm too short for anything higher up. I'll check out HGTV...good idea!
