Perfect for a girls' night out gathering
By NV, Monday, March 2, 2009, 3 comments...or any gathering where you need to let off some steam! I was at a new little wine place when this bottle started calling my name. All dressed in black and pink, I was being sold on some other wine but simply told the salesperson, “I think that bottle there suits me best.”
Labeled, “Bitch” – this wine from The Grateful Palate is exactly the right addition to a girls’ night out. Also great for:
- When your girlfriend gets laid off or fired
- When you get laid off or fired
- When you hastily/angrily quit your job
- When your girlfriend says she caught her boyfriend cheating (Note: You will need at least 4 bottles.)
- When someone tries to steal your thunder
- When you are expected to be Super Woman...do they have any idea how hard it is to be you and look cute doing it?!
- When someone is being unnecessarily bitchy...drink to her/him! Cheers to those who show us how we do not want to be..unless, of course, we have to!
It doesn’t matter that this Grenache is touted as a “bitch to grow and make” from KL Wines. Or that Robert Parker of the Wine Advocate said: "Bitch Grenache is sourced from 40- to 60-year-old vines from the Ebenezer sub-region of the Barossa. With the price of Cotes du Rhone soaring due to the weak dollar, I am hard pressed to think of a better value in full-flavored Grenache. The 2006 Bitch Grenache received no oak treatment. Medium ruby-colored, it presents an alluring bouquet of earth, smoke, rhubarb, cherry, and strawberry. Supple, sweet, and tasty, this wine totally over-delivers for its humble price and is an exceptional value."
All that matters is that when it’s time to get your bitch on, this seems like the way to go!
