Weekend State of Mind
By norobb72, Thursday, March 25, 2010Good morning all,
It's Thursday...pre-empt to the weekend ((wave your hands from side to side, everybody say whoo whoo))
So I was getting ready for work and looked at the clock which told me I needed to speed things up or I wouldn't be able to post a blog and I would surely be late for work. I then thought lately I really only use a clock when it is in regards to work....why? Is this normal, do others come home on the weekends and have complete disregard for the clock?
When I come home on Friday evenings I start with my weekend routines..cleaning, grocery shopping and laundry, but it's almost like I go in a trance that I'm not snapped out of until I realize oh snap, it's 6pm Sunday evening....where did the weekend go? Then there is this frantic rush to ensure that everything I need for the upcoming week is taken care of. Before you know it I'm looking at the clock and counting hours until it's time for me to return on Monday.
I am getting really tired of running beside the time clock trying to beat it to work, but what's the answer? I have to work, I've already prioritized...could it be getting up earlier than I already do? I'm not sure...but I am fast approaching a fresh new weekend in which I plan to enjoy myself and hopefully when Sunday comes around I won't feel like I was robbed!
Peace
