Wanted: The Perfect Outfit

Tuesday, July, 8, 2008

Another one of my cute interns is filling in for me today. This time, fashionista Ali Spizman:

The perfect dress. You imagine it but can never find the exact cut, fit or style. You loathe over racks and racks of overpriced silk, cotton, and micro fiber in search of the perfect hip hugger, bust accentuating and any problem hiding dress. Spanx is always an option if you find the almost perfect one, but there is something to be said about that perfect dress. You might not have an occasion for this dress yet, but by the time it is purchased, you will have three. That morning you woke up with the perfect dress and an extra ounce of confidence that tells you to fight your black pants craving, your safety net when it comes to flattering and slimming. That morning, you are inspired to wear evening make up during the day and red lipstick to work. Sometimes those heels just aren’t working for you. A wobbly feeling, like walking on a string, and with one trip, slip or tumble, your day is instantly ruined. But today is not that day. Today is the day you are walking four inches taller, prouder, and happier because you have found that perfect dress.
