Rundown of the day:
You could start a percussion ensemble with the number of things you drop when you’re making breakfast.
One cup, two cup, three cup, four… nothing seems to be enough to yank you out of your near comatose exhausted state. Maybe the coffee will make you smarter?
You go to have your break fluid checked, praying against all odds that you don’t need new brakes and in a back patting moment, you lock your keys in your car at the local service station.
You smack your face against the window in frustration only to discover in your reflection that you’re breaking out.
They don’t have the tool most self-respecting car jackers have on hand at all times. You wait for AAA.
Using your infinite wisdom of local geography, accumulated through almost 10 years of residency, you tell him the wrong intersection.
You’re seeing your ex tonight at a mutual friend’s party.
Accept it. It’s just going to be one of those days. I’d like to say that these are the days that make you and don’t break you but I can’t say I’ve always found that to be true.
Sometimes they do break you. Sometimes you have to lock yourself out just to beat yourself up to piece it all back together again. True life happens on days that your plan doesn’t work and character amasses on the days that push you, both backwards and forward.
What’s your day been like?
