I had no idea how much maternity underwear would change my life. Now, you’re probably thinking is it really necessary to purchase actual maternity underwear. Why not just go up a size or two? I thought the same thing. I made the trip to Target and bought a few pairs of larger than life underwear. And guess what… I was miserable. The elastic dug into my belly even after I stretched them out to the point that the elastic separated from the cotton.

Finally, I went for the real deal. My new super-sized granny panties are so stretchy, so soft, and so comfy. Now don’t get me wrong, you wouldn’t want a Marilyn Monroe moment in these. I almost had one recently during an afternoon shower and serious windstorm. Believe me, with the tight grip I had on my frock, I wasn’t allowing anything to blow my dress up.

When pregnant, I say forget about the sexy panties. I’m all about comfort right now and hipsters from Motherhood Maternity are just that.
