What a weekend! The skirt! team spent Friday, Saturday, and Sunday at the Southern Women’s Show at the NC State Fairgrounds.
Now, the rumor was that Joey Fatone was there. The SWS materials cited him as “of Dancing with the Stars fame,” but you and I know he’s really “of *N SYNC fame,” don’t we? I really wanted to meet Joey, but we were so busy at the booth that I completely missed his appearance.
Confession time: In 1999, my two best girlfriends from high school and I went to the *N SYNC concert at Walnut Creek. We had bought tickets MONTHS in advance, and the day of the concert, in true Faith fashion, I searched my room from top to bottom and could find them nowhere. I was SO determined to go, that I hopped in the car anyway and rode up to Walnut Creek with my friends, where we bought a ticket from a scalper on the side of the road (if you’re in law enforcement and you’re reading this – no we didn’t).
We had even made super-awesome tank tops to wear to the concert. They all said “We <3 *N SYNC” on the front, and then the backs said, “____ is my boyfriend,” with the name of the boy-band member of choice in the blank. My friend Katie’s was Justin, Hilliary’s was Lance, and mine was – you guessed it – Joey. There is even a picture of this in my senior yearbook, which I’m going to try and find and bring it in to scan to prove that I was, in fact, that lame in high school.
Anyway, the point is, I’ve always had a thing for big guys with facial hair. Until my husband, who’s 6’1,” but has been trying for years to grow sideburns, only succeeding in sprouting little patches of dark stubble (sorry, Baby).
So, if anyone knows Joey, or happens to see him around, tell him he could have been my boyfriend, but he missed his chance.

Haha...I love it. I also love that it crosses almost everyone's mind, at some point, that, "If only ______ could just meet me...then he'd realize that we'd be PERFECT together." But somehow, celebrities don't troll North Carolina suburbs very frequently, as I unfortunately learned (I'm still waiting, Ryan...call me!).
