Fortune Smiled Upon Me

Yesterday began like any other day. Around lunchtime, however,  the skirt! staff took a field trip-lette down the street to The Club for the Humane Society/Belk Fashion Show. Little did I know that I would meet with a favorable fate on the runway. Each chair in the large ballroom had a gift bag overflowing with catalogs and coupons. Unassumingly, I grabbed mine at the show’s closing. I came across a gift card, and called the phone number on the bag. Mr. Electronic Voice informed me that my card had a balance of (image automated voiceman here) five... hun-dred ...dollars. Hold the phone! I had to call back twice more to make sure I had heard right. Indeed, I was a winner. Sweet kisses in the morning! You better believe I’m going shopping this weekend.
