As promised, a photo from last night’s Tie The Knot on Tybee, with this month’s skirt! man Stephen Palmer, his lovely wife Jennifer and fedoraed ol’ me.

You might be wondering what in the bejeebus I’m wearing. (I get that a lot. I have been a crazy hat person since birth, and am no stranger to stares from strangers.) My eccentric grandmother (the one I inherited the crazy hat gene from) passed away recently, and I was bequeathed several treasures from her closet. And I ask you: If a group wedding on the Tybee Island Pier isn’t an appropriate place to wear a sequined butterfly disco smock, I don’t know where is.
It wasn’t nearly as cold as last year, but we were twice as tired, so El Hombre and I cut out early, but not before posing for the prom shot. Behold the butterfly in its full glory:

The red tuxedo pants were a $3 find from the Goodwill on Broughton Street. And the hat’s from a truck stop near Aiken, SC. The dude looks like he’s almost gotten to used to being seen with a woman who can’t just use her Macy’s card like everyone else.
