Calling all Georgians: Please Vote!!!

The devil went down to Georgia
She (Palin) was looking for a soul to steal
And she was in a bind
'Cause he (Saxby) was way behind
And was willin' to make a deal...

I’m not sure if Charlie Daniels intended for his song to be interpreted this way, but I couldn’t resist.  So, Sarah Palin is campaigning in my beautiful home state of Georgia.  Does anyone know who invited her?  I don’t recall seeing the invitation.  Hmm... must be lost in the mail.

(Does anyone else think that Palin brought the chilly Alaska air down here with her?  Have you noticed how cold it’s been lately?  Bbbrrrr...)

Anyway, I am very pro-women, but I’m sorry.  I cannot support Sarah Palin.  I don’t think she is pro-women and I just can’t bring myself to do it.  I do respect her position as the governor of Alaska.  In fact, so much that I wish she would return there to do her job.  Hey Sarah – I think Alaska needs you!  How ‘bout staying there for say, the next four years, perhaps? We won’t mind, really.  No, REALLY

Well, Georgia... our job is not done.  Today, we must cast one more vote.  Insert one more yellow card into the voting machine.  We have one more “I’m a Georgia voter” peach sticker calling our names this year.

Today is the all important run-off between the Democrat, Jim Martin, and the incumbent Republican, Saxby Chambliss.  No matter which candidate you may vote for, I ask you to please vote.  This is our state and the country is watching what we will do today.  So, please vote.

For any of you undecided voters out there, I will fill you in on the candidate that I will be voting for.  Jim Martin.  Just like I fully supported our country needing change by electing Barack Obama; I feel that we need a change in Georgia.  Saxby Chambliss, in my opinion, ran one of the most reprehensible campaigns in my memory when he was elected, and even Palin’s hometown newspaper agrees  (http://community.adn.com/adn/node/135064).  Jim Martin will help Obama bring about the change that our country is hungry for.  Saxby won’t.  Obama even called me today to ask for my support of Jim Martin.  Won’t you join me in telling Saxby that we won’t stand for dirty campaigns and we do want change in Georgia? And, that Georgia will support our President-elect, Barack Obama.

If you want to learn more about Jim Martin or if you need information about voting, please visit his website at www.martinforsenate.com.  But, don’t forget that polls close at 7:00 pm, so don’t wait too long!  Even if you didn’t vote on November 4th, you can still vote in this run-off.

No matter which name you select, the most important thing is that your voice is heard and your vote is counted.  Please vote.  And if you’re so inclined, let’s send Saxby packing, and Palin packing all the way back to Alaska!

Vote!  Vote!  Vote!

Thank you for spreading

Thank you for spreading political awareness--anyone who thinks abstinence-only is an effective method of sex education is NOT pro-women. Educate, don't indoctrinate. Let's get some smart women up in here! (Yay, Hillary!)
