This is as Political as I Get
By sarahthequeen05, Tuesday, November 4, 2008, 2 commentsI think we’ve already well established the fact that I don’t really like politics or politicians; I just accept them as necessary evils since I am not actually queen of anything, (except my own self, which is still nice).
That being said, my Story People Story of the Day is so perfect and spot-on regarding how I feel towards the macabre circus that is the campaign/election tango that I just had to share it with you. Besides, I’m half-groggy from loads of icky chemo and I’d rather use the wonderfulness of Brian Andreas to tell you how I feel better than I can myself.
I promise you not a moment will be lost as long as I have heart and voice to speak and we will walk again together with a thousand others and a thousand more and on and on until there is no one among us who does not know the truth: there is no future without love.
So, now I say to you, with little coherency (is that even a real word?) left in my chemo-logged brain, I’m just happy that it’s almost over, and that, no matter what happens, at least we’ll have someone who is not W in the White House. I don’t have anything against him personally (he seems to be a great dad to the twins), but I think it’s time for him to go.
I’m going to veg out and watch a movie that I don’t have to think about to watch- Get Smart- and eat Godiva mini chocolate-covered pretzels. Good day, gentle people.
