Last week at school was our homecoming and it was CRAZY. I stayed up till like three in the morning every night decorating the lobby of my resident hall and it turned out AWESOME. We won almost every spirit award. There is something to be said about good clean fun. Like football games and school spirit, that sort of thing. I would so much rather play kickball than go to the club. It just makes you FEEL better, right? And we won our homecoming game which is pretty amazing, I don’t go to a big football school, we are mostly all about the medical. I feel like with all the stuff going on I’ve made about 100 new friends and I’m loving it. AND I’m doing a lot better in all my classes. Things are really looking up, friends.

Ok so i’m gonna tell you my halloween idea and you are going to tell me if it’s funny or stupid. I think I might dress up like a magic 8 ball. Like wear all black with a big white 8 and people could ask me questions and shake me and I could be all “Try Again Later” or “Reply Hazy” ahahah. So what do you think?

Oh and if anyone is obsessed like me, The Twilight movie is coming out soon! woooohoooo

Yea for you!

First of all, oh yeah for the magic 8 ball idea. I won't be able to wear my costume into my kids school- thankfully our party is grownups only! ;)

I was on the fringes of popularity in high school- that's to say I knew popular people and they knew me. My sister came with me overnight while I unloaded my stuff into the college dorm. As we walked campus, that brilliant "child" (she was 15) told me "everyone you meet here is a potential friend, so lift your head and smile". I was much more popular in college than I was in high school. I was very involved in RHA and was even on the board. I went to make popcorn in the lobby microwave one night at 9:15 and my roommates told me to take my room key- they were going to bed at 11. I laughed and told them I'd be no more than 5 minutes. (1 to the lobby, 1 back, and 3 to pop) They were right though. True to form, someone saw me, a small discussion broke out with people coming and going- and I had to knock my way back into my room around 11:45.*blush*

We are quite similar in our social status. I know the "popular kids" and am accepted by them, but I feel no need to be a part of their exclusive society. Fortunately in college there is much less of a social class system then there was in high school. I'm also on RHA it's super fun and a great way to get involved and meet people. Yeah, all the really fun things are never planned. They just sort of "pop up" hehehe unexpectedly
