Hi: We preview and write about books that relate to work-life success issues: juggling work and family; women in leadership; how nora ephron feels about her neck...
In any event, we would love to talk to you about the skirt book club and what your needs are.
Check us out: www.thenewhavingitall.com.

I have never been in a book club (so have never led a discussion), but I love to read and I am willing to help out. I got really excited about joining, and then everyone kind of disappeared. Anyway, maybe we could all take turns being in charge of the discussions for a book. Kind of like the movie The Jane Austen Book Club (I think that was the name of it). The characters all picked a different Austen book to be in charge of, and they hosted the discussions at their houses. We can't host the discussions at our houses, but we could each 'host' a different book discussion. Maybe you could post us a few tips on leading a successful discussion?

I think that's a great idea, everyone is so busy and sharing would really help out I think! What do you guys think of maybe setting up video conferences for our bookclub meetings?

Try "The Friday Night Knitting Club" by Kate Jacobs for a lighter read. There is just something magnetic about a group of women getting together spontaneously to discuss, share, and create.I am sure we have all experienced that magical moment when we find ourselves together with someone who will listen with interest as we allow our bottled up thoughts and memories to pour themselves out like rich wine. This day and age who doesn't want to be part of a live, growing sisterhood?
Reading my way to happiness,
