Sistah Needs A Break

Monday, October, 6, 2008

The past few months have been unbelievably busy – “plate overflowing, too many irons in the fire, candles burning on both ends, what’s my name again?” busy. Slowly things are returning back to a more normal pace, less busy and more sensible...hopefully. : )

All I know (and this is it for now, don’t know much else) is that  Pretty City’s annual fundraiser to raise Breast Cancer Awareness known as Pretty in Pink is right on time and is going to give me the rest, relaxation and pampering I need while being friendly to the purse strings. That’s my kind of treat!

For the month of October, various salons and spas throughout the country offer up their services for $31. That’s right – $31 bucks. You can get a facial, pedicure, Brazilian wax, hair cut, Swedish massage, microdermabrasian and more – and each service is only $31. HELLO!!

The coolest thing is that proceeds will benefit the Breast Cancer Network of Strength, formerly known as Y-ME National Breast Cancer Organization. And for that reason, you HAVE to indulge in more services...ahh, bliss! It’s just good all around.
