The bad news is my blood pressure is still rising (140/90 at my appointment last week). And the good news is Isabella may be born earlier than my due date (November 17th).
For the high blood pressure, my doctor usually prescribes bed rest. But since I’m already on bed rest, there’s not much more that can be done.
At my ultrasound last Monday, the sonographer determined Ibbie’s current weight to be 4lbs, 11ounces. At that rate, my doc said she’d be 8lbs, 11ounces at her due date…so, he’ll probably induce me early due to her weight, and my back pain and high blood pressure. Believe me, he wouldn’t have to twist my arm to bump up her birthday by a few weeks…I couldn’t be more ready to have my baby (and I’ll be honest, not be pregnant anymore!).
I’ll be sure to keep you updated…I’m going to the doctor again tomorrow (I’m on the weekly rotation now…a definite indication of the home stretch!) because he wants to check my blood pressure. And as soon as I know when he’ll induce labor, you’ll be the first to know (well, maybe not the first…but I will let you know).

Crossing my fingers for you! Is there anything you can do to help keep your blood pressure low that doesn't involve medication? For instance, would calming music and candles help? I mean, I understand that it's PHYSICAL and that lullabyes and aromatherapy can't *cure* it, but would it help? Whatever you do, r-e-l-a-a-a-ax! You're in the home stretch! We're cheering you on!

Well, I took your advice and r-e-l-a-x-e-d! And you were right in your recommendation. I went to the doctor on Tuesday afternoon, and my blood pressure dropped 10 whole points!!! I can't thank you enough for your continued encouragement and support!
