Her (MY) Dream Nursery

Friday, September, 19, 2008

Okay, I know it will probably be months, if not years, before Isabella even notices her room, much less falls in love with it the way I have. But her nursery truly is a dream come true for me.

Thank goodness I had nine, well ten, months to get her room ready. Because I have to admit that I obsessed for months over every little detail. I think I started searching for the perfect crib the minute the stick said “yes” and there are actually a few finishing touches that are still missing. But for the most part, it’s done.

Isabella’s nursery is so elegant, sweet and girly. I could just sit in there for hours…and sometimes I do. For the most part, I have to keep myself out of there, because when I do go in, I’m in there for quite a while. I stare at the silk drapes (they’re yummy like sherbet) and her crib with its adorable bumper pad in Roth’s Rose Garden Fabric and pink polka dot sheets. I can just picture my little girl in her beautiful nursery and it makes me cry.

I’ve shared my obsession with Isabella’s nursery and spending ridiculous amounts of time in there with several new moms and each has confessed that they were the same way before their babies were born.  It’s great to know that I’ve not totally lost it…nursery obsession seems to be just another crazy thing that mom’s to be do.

I’ll post pictures as soon as my prehistoric laptop allows or my fabulous mac from the office gets here.

It sounds so beautiful and soothing in there! Just what a nursery should be. I don't even know you - but I'm so excited for you! The anticipation, the fun of putting the nursery together. . .it's all just such a lovely picture you've painted. Sending you lots of warm wishes! xoxo
