Have you tuned into Rachel Maddow on MSNBC (9pmET weekdays)? She’s a welcome alternative to the boys’ club lineup of Chris Matthews and Keith Olbermann.  What can you expect? Here’s the description of her taken from her official website:

“Rachel has a doctorate in political science (she was a Rhodes Scholar) and a background in HIV/AIDS activism and prison reform. She shakes a mean cocktail, drives a bright red pickup, hates Coldplay, loves arguing with conservatives, spends a lot of money on AMTRAK tickets, and dresses like a first-grader.”

Sounds like someone we’d like to have cocktails with, but in the meantime, we’ll toast to her success.
