Let's talk 'bout sex

The media coverage over Palin has been crazy this week and will probably continue to be a circus. Whether you love her or you hate her – she’s here and she’s become the topic. In less than two weeks, a woman running for vp has arguably turned a race about "change" into a race about sex...from who would make the best president to who you want to be a hair away from being president.

Below is an interview that Gov. Sarah Palin had with ABC's Charles Gibson that left us thinking, if you were in the chair opposite the Governor, what would you ask her? Would you even bother? What if Sen. Joe Biden was in her seat for this interview? What would you ask him? What do they get?  What do they not get? Is it all about the sex of the candidate?  What is all of this "coverage" missing?

Let us know below.

Wow, I mean wow. She simply doesn't understand the questions on foreign policy so she just throws out barrages of prepared phrases in the hope that no one will notice.

I'm sorry, but Sarah may be one talented local politician, but she's not ready to run the USA.

The sad thing is, Sarah Palin's nomination has killed all the discussion about real issues- war, health care, the environment, the ecomnomy. It's turned this election into referendum on her competence.

I'm really looking forward to the debate, because this isn't enough for me to really judge Gov. Palin. She was a strong speaker and certainly didn't let the interview get away from her. She stayed on message - maybe too much so. She seems very hawkish, but not necessarily very contemplative about international relations. She's obviously very US-centric - but that's what I think many voters want to see changed in Washington. It's not just about us - it's about our relations with other countries; it's about human right, not just US citizen's rights; it's about the what's the right thing to do for the world and the environment, not about cheap energy and keeping the oil flowing. ~felicia

I never thought I'd have to suffer through prepared political rhetoric delivered with more arrogance and obvious ignorance than George W. Bush, but there it is. Her answers on foreign policy are shortsighted at best ("America needs to do whatever it takes") and dangerously fascist at worst. Sure, I guess you can call alienating the rest of the world even further "change"... ~Jessica Leigh
