This (countless old magazines, scissors, glue, and COFFEE) + me (last night)

(my imperfect, slightly-puckered homemade notecard. I simply cannot wait to write a note to a special friend and drop this bad boy in the mailbox).

There are a few things more delightful than recylcing old items to make new, usable items. I love the idea of poking around the house to find ways to spruce things up. I have never sent a storebought greeting card in my entire life. Booyah Hallmark. I’d rather make my own and stamp my “cory and co.” logo on the back, along with my hand-drawn bar code and price.

What are some of your favorite ways to make new from old?

You've never sent a store-bought greeting card? I am IMPRESSED. I am thinking of keeping the remaining 20 cards I bought and making my own! I didn't make a thing last night, but I love the note card idea.

Hello fellow card creator! I enjoy making cards so much, I've started a greeting card business (MEllen Designs)! Of course, I wouldn't ask you to buy a card - I LOVE that you make your own! Have you ever thought of opening an Etsy shop on-line? You should... Send more images of your cards!

Making new from old... one of my favorite things:
Coffee can to kitchen spoon and spatula holder.
Woodford Reserve bourbon whisky bottle to vase
Magazine scraps to living room artwork.
Old, large bulletin board to headboard for my bed, with a little fabric and padding.
