I have had one of the worse weeks in the history of bad weeks. I’ve had an ugly black cloud hanging out over my head. So many bad things have happened to me this week that I’m too exhausted to even discuss them. So a couple of days ago, after one of the bad things, I tell my husband, “What else can happen!” Of course I’m not superstitious, but it was really funny when he said, “DON’T ASK that!” I just laughed.
First the bill that would be close to $1,000 to fix the A/C in our SUV grew to $1,700. My husband gave me that bad news Thursday. THEN my strep throat from last week started to rear its ugly head again. I only took one bottle of my antibiotics. They gave it to me in two bottles at the pharmacy because I asked the doctor to prescribe it in liquid form. (capsules aren’t good with the lap band) I was bad and I only drank one bottle. Obviously I have to drink the other one now!
Then the rotten meat happened. When I got home on Thursday I went to the garage for something and I smelled something bad. I told my husband Rey when he got home and he went to the garage to see. Our deep freezer had broken, or became disconnected, and all of my mother-in-law's meat went bad!!! YES! Not a good smell! Poor Rey had to clean it all up. I felt so sorry for him. There was blood all over our garage floor. Lovely! Rey said the bags of meat were swollen. As soon as he opened the garage door to start cleaning all the flies arrived. Ugh!
There’s a breezeway between my back door and the garage. I could smell some of the horrible odor coming in and I discovered that the door was cracked. I quickly closed it and ran for a can of Oust. What a day! I really hope that nothing else can happen now!

Loida, I HATE weeks like that! It'll get better! (it has to right?) Just repeat the mantra "I can get through this" and remember it's Friday - the week is almost over! (That and pour yourself a big glass of wine!)
