I Hate Blogging!!
By Mlouise, Friday, November 11, 2011, 1 commentsSo what the hell am I doing here? It's simple. I am one of those people who hate something when it presents a challenge and loves it when it flows as naturally as the autumn leaves making their way down to the ground.
This is my fourth attempt at posting a blog today. Everytime I would start one I realized that it wasn't good enough. Not good enough for me and certainly not good enough for my peeps on Skirt! And when I finally realized that I was not going to create anything worthwhile I determined that blogging sucks when it can't flow easily. But you know what's freakin' funny? That thought became a blog idea. I love it!
Is this post some of my best work? Hell no. But it is a post and I am proud of that. And I didn't type this just because I had to post today (I am certain that life on Skirt! will continue just fine without my posting). I decided to share this for one simple reason. To remind all the bloggers out there that sometimes in your most frustarting moment something pops in your head and you can just run with it. It's a beautiful thing. And if nothing pops up, just chill and wait until tomorrow. Your readers may miss you but they will understand.
And always remind yourself that the opposite of love is not hate, it's indifference. So my ability to hate blogging, even if just for a moment, is purely a result of the fact that I love blogging so much!

Write on my friend!
I have been in a very contemplative mood lately. (Maybe something to do with writing my memoir?!) It's made me think back to various times and often I have the event blogged. I have gone back to find the blogs and am pleased with what I find. Besides having the memory, I also notice how I've grown & changed as a writer. They say that happens. The more you write, the better you get. You develop your voice and skills.
So hate it all you want, but do it. One of the best things I heard this weekend was "You can change anything, but you can not change a blank page."
