18 Minutes of Genius

Does your genius bubble up from within, or does it sit across the room hurling ideas at you?  Elizabeth Gilbert, the author of Eat Pray Love, asks this question in a talk she gives on my new favorite website.  It's called TED, a place for thinkers sharing ideas in Technology, Entertainment, and Design.  Once a year the guys at TED have a conference and invite a bunch of big thinkers to speak .... for 18 minutes each.

I loved Eat Pray Love, as did about 10 million of my friends  In this speech for TED, Elizabeth talks about her "freakish success" and its consequences for her creativity in her followup book.  A great problem to have, but she gives it unusual and endearing depth of thought.  Worth 18 minutes of my time.
